Pan Zaixian 潘在賢

Based in Singapore, Zaixian comes with 20+ years of corporate experience across Asia & Europe. With a background working with larger international corporates, his clients now include the public sector, private companies & funds, where he also operates along the search corridor for companies moving between North & Southeast Asia.

His coverage began within traditional finance and corporates before moving into emerging companies and technology areas. In recent years he has been developing the venture / private companies’ segment, working with business owners to align stakeholders’ expectations in a personality-fit search model. He advises on succession planning strategies and works with executives on their career development. His teams have topped the Hong Kong based Asiamoney Headhunters Poll for Asia; The Asian Banker Achievement Award for Executive Search for 4 years in a row; and the Singapore HR Vendors of the Year Award (Financial Services). He was personally top ranked at the Asiamoney Headhunters Poll for a category award.

Zaixian has been in the search industry since 2003. He started with UK listed Robert Walters leading their largest  business in the region and assisted in the Group’s expansion into North Asia. He joined Kerry Consulting  as their General Manager before founding Pan & Co. Prior to search, he was in London with Price water house Coopers as part of their Insurance & Investment Management practice. He represented his country as a Youth Parliamentarian in his earlier years.

Zaixian trained with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales, and graduated from the University  of Manchester, UK. He is Singaporean and his daughter is in Shanghai. When he is not at work, he is most likely to be found on a golf course.

Lye Sheng 赖晟

Lye Sheng is the co-founder of Pan & Co and leads the Assurance, Consultancy & Technology Services portfolio of the firm.

As an experienced people manager himself who had built high performing sales and delivery teams at Accenture and Microsoft, he is attuned to the needs of the requirements beyond the job descriptions and in identifying the right talent beyond the resumes. Other than leadership managerial assignments, his coverage encompasses commercial and technical positions. Lye Sheng’s in-industry experience prior to search lends a unique advantage in having access to seasoned technology practitioners across industries and disciplines.

 Over a 20+ years career, he spent the first 17 years at Accenture as a consulting practitioner in large scale implementation projects across telecommunications, media, education, healthcare, and defence before moving to a business development role in the Electronics and High-Tech sector of the firm; as Managing Director, he proceeded to manage platform clients such as Microsoft, Autodesk and other software MNCs in Asean, before becoming the leader for the Freight and Logistics portfolio in this region. He then spent the next two years at Microsoft as the Enterprise Service Director for the Singapore market with responsibility over both Consulting and Support businesses.

Lye Sheng holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Singapore.  He is Singaporean and used to be involved in grassroots community development for Bukit Batok constituency. In his free time, he is an avid cyclist, hopeless golfer, aspiring photographer and serious motor head.

Kina Gao 高洁

Headhunter

Kina comes with 20+ years in technology sales, in-house talent acquisition, and headhunting. Having lived and worked across the region, her Sino-Asia experience lends a unique advantage in mandates relating to the Belt and Road Initiative covering the Asia emerging markets. Her client base includes companies in Telecommunication, Technology Vendors, Emerging Technology, E-Commerce, and cross industries Chinese enterprises expanding into Southeast Asia.

She was with the Huawei regional headquarters in Singapore leading the talent acquisition and key talent mapping for their Southern Pacific region and is therefore very familiar with Chinese enterprise culture and their challenges. Combining her local and regional recruitment experiences with her intimate understanding of such enterprises, she has successfully helped North Asian companies (technology and other emerging industries) in their expansion outside of their home markets. In addition to Asian corporates, she has successfully closed a range of mandates with regional and multinational corporates in technology, commercial and corporate positions.

Born and brought up in Hangzhou, Kina has worked in Shanghai, Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore. She is a Singaporean and holds a Master of Commerce from the University of New South Wales and a Bachelor of Economics degree from the Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics. She enjoys jogging, yoga, wine, dine and travels in her leisure.

Chong Wen Kuang 张文广

Headhunter

Chong comes with 20+years in global markets trading where his career has taken him to Hong Kong & Shanghai before returning to Singapore. He started as an ALM trader in 1996 with OCBC Bank Singapore before moving to Hong Kong in 2005 with Hypo-Vereinsbank (HVB) and subsequently Standard Bank (Asia), trading in Asia FX/Interest Rates. He joined Fortis Bank in Shanghai in 2007 to set up the local markets trading team and oversaw the liquidity management for Fortis Bank China. He returned to Singapore with RBS in late 2009 to manage the Singapore Dollar Cash and Derivatives trading. He would later set up and managed his own fund, trading in liquid FX, US Treasury bond futures, and Equity-Index futures. The venture lasted till 2016 but he continues to invest and to prop-trade to this day.

Chong started his journey into search in 2019 and as a former international banker, trader & start-up entrepreneur who has lived and worked in the region, he has the professional empathy to understand the hiring challenges of banking & global markets. As a headhunter, he has not only covered banking & fintech assignments, but he also has successfully delivered for cross-industry functional domains, including clients at various stages of their growth cycle. His clients include banks, funds & corporates in the region, including new market entrants across North to Southeast Asia.

Chong is Singaporean and graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering from The University of Sheffield (UK) and a Master of Applied Finance from the Macquarie University (Australia).  He is an enthusiast of wines in the Burgundy regions, especially aged Chardonnays from Côte de Beaune, and Pinot Noirs from Côte de Nuits.  He has supported Liverpool FC since his childhood days.

James Yalung

James is a seasoned search professional with years of headhunting experience gained from working in specialist firms, Sheffield Haworth and Selecture Global. He has worked and delivered on many search assignments across various industries including financial services (fintech, payments, insurance), management consulting, supply chain, market research, consumer retail, engineering and technology, across various functions such as general management, corporate development, sales and marketing, finance, information technology, and human resources.

Prior to headhunting, James held managerial roles for market intelligence companies such as RFi Group, J.D. Power & Associates, and Nielsen, which are internationally known brands in the Financial Services, Automotive, and Retail Consumer Goods space, respectively.

James holds a Bachelor’s in Commerce major in Management of Financial Institutions from De La Salle University, Manila. James is originally from the Philippines; he is a Singapore Permanent Resident and has been based in Singapore for more than 10 years. Aside from being a complete family man, he binges on food and is unfussy on what he drinks

Cayla Wang 王迪

Cayla has over 10+ years of regional experience between North and Southeast Asia where she started in retail banking with Bank of Communications in Nanjing before moving on to human capital management with real estate group Qingjian International when it was rapidly expanding in Singapore.

Her search coverage includes consulting and corporate companies, where she has undertaken assignments in industries such as consulting, technology, fintech, real estate and engineering. Her successful placements include functions within cyber security, IT Infrastructure, risk and compliance, human resources, marketing, etc.

Originally from China, Cayla has lived in major cities such as Beijing and Nanjing where she comes with a profound understanding of North Asia culture before moving to Singapore in 2013. She holds a Master’s in Human Capital Leadership from the Singapore Management University and a double degree in Bachelor of Law and Business Management from China University of Political Science and Law.

On the odd occasion she manages to get some me-time away from family duties, she enjoys swimming, reading, and travelling.

Pearlie Tan 郑贝婷

Headhunter

Pearlie has early experience in her career covering full cycle hiring in diversified industries such as technology (infrastructure, cybersecurity, software engineering), public relations, communications, advertising, design and media. She has successfully delivered mandates such as pioneer hires for a new office set to managing more mature stage companies.

Prior to joining Pan & Co, she was with a large health-tech group in a RPO setting as an on-site talent acquisition. This has allowed her to work closely with senior hiring managers in a structured in-house environment.

In her earlier years in HR business partnering in banking and airline companies, she has come to appreciate the importance of good hires in transforming companies. This eventually led her to move her career towards headhunting in order to provide a more independent consultative approach for her clients and candidates.

Pearlie is Singaporean and graduated with a Bachelor in Human Resources & Marketing from Murdoch University. When she is not headhunting, she finds herself exploring indie coffeehouse and bar hopping.
